The NBA lockout isn't just a battle between billionaire - owners and millionaire - players over $4.2 billion. There's another battle going on, over vast sums of money, over small-market owners against their big-market counterparts.
A canceled season could mean billions of dollars lost throughout every level of the game, from team owners and broadcasters to municipal governments and downtown businesses.
